5K on the Runway

The Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council thanks all of the runners, sponsors, vendors and volunteers for the success of the 6th Annual 5K on the Runway event on Saturday, July 15 at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. Initially, the fundraising goal was set at $20,000. The event raised $30,000 for the men and women of the 910th Airlift Wing at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna, Ohio and promoted the Base and its importance to the entire Mahoning Valley. This year, 271 runners participated in the run that started at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and continued down the runway to the Air Base and back. This year’s event was especially special since there were 200 Airmen running in the 5K that started at the Air Base and ran towards the Airport. Because there were 471 civilian and military personnel all running together on a closed runway, it made this event a one-of-a-kind in the area.

The Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council will be holding their membership meeting on Thursday, November 12th at 6pm at the CAC on the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.

Schedule:
5:30 – Social Hour
6:00 – Dinner, with Program to follow

Menu:  TBD

Cost:
$26.00 – Members and Guests

RSVP by: Monday, June 8th by either method A or B below.  Failure to RSVP and pay by the required date will result in denied access at the main gate.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
